iOS 18.4 Will Have AI App review Summaries In the App Store

The App store is adding a new exciting feature in the iOS 18.4 system. Basically it is the AI produced review summaries. These are the same reviews that users leave on the app store.
This tool will create short and precise highlights of such reviews. So instead of larger texts and comments this will generate precise shorter paragraphs.
This is a common way of describing things and products. Many apps and ecommerce websites like Amazon are using this aspect to describe the products.
Work Method Of Summary
Basically the summary creates such comments on the basis of natural speaking language. The paragraph usually starts with positive comments and then gradually comes back on negative reviews.
Every once a week The App will refresh summaries. As new reviews keep on coming the older get replaced with newer summary. Many times users can pin one comment and report about it if they see any problem.
At first the summary will only come on the US app store. By the end of this year the feature will come to other countries and languages also. First this feature will touch only apps and games that come in English.
Before Apple, Amazon also has the Review summary. This feature really highlights the characteristics of the products. Customers can understand clearly without having to read all the reviews.
An average of all the reviews will conclude whether the product is good or bad. A simple consumer can rely heavily and solely on these reviews. They will not read entire comments and differentiate. But read a specific number of reviews. Which can lead to often misleading responses.
Now imagine you would not have to read through all the reviews and decide whether to buy or not. You can simply read the summary and decide.
In fact if you take the gaming section it will write about companies that are authentic. But there is a major drawback of dishonest companies flooding the reviews with fake comments.
AI does not differentiate between fake or real, it just writes summaries on the basis of the majority of reviews.
However this becomes doubtful as we can never say if the product is not good enough. To rely completely upon the summary is beneficial but we cannot say how trustful the process is.
Conclusion
All in all, this is a good initiative by Apple. But every thing has its cons as well as pros. So one cannot say if the review summary method is foolproof.
But it is authentic in most cases. So we can say it is safe to rely on these summaries to check gaming, technology and other vast products and apps.
